...and they told me she was a beginner. Hah! See what this girl can do. Look at her color sense. She did a fabulous job on this Symphony quilt. Her use of embellishments was the best part of this whole piece. I can't wait to see it when it is finished and the yellow flower pins are gone. It's going to be spectacular.

Redecorating and Refurbishing
We've learned our son and his family are coming to visit the end of next month, so we've decided to redecorate the interior of the house. New paint, tile and carpet for us. And, oh, what a job to remove everything for the new goodies. Eeek! And the dust! I thought I knew, but oh my goodness. How can you know until you see the fine powder as it permeates every inch of your living space. But we'll love it when it's done.

San Diego Zoo Flower Quilt
This photo quilt was inspired by a flower at the San Diego Zoo. I used four printer sheets from Beth Wheeler to put the flower onto fabric. My friend, Sharon Brooks of Phoenix, was the quilter. As always, she did a beautiful job.

Felting Fun Night
Tonight I taught needle felting at the mixed media art quilt group I belong to. Most of the members had never felted before so it was very new to them. I made kits for everyone to take home and create wonderful projects with.
